Well, the third day was a charm. Yesterday morning started out better with a couple of small bucks coming in. Had no idea yesterday afternoon would prove to be so good. The PM hunt started out sort of iffy. I got busted 10 minutes after climbing up. Don’t think it was the wind direction but rather the deer seeing me hooking up my camera equipment. Anyway, a doe and yearling came in about 6:45 and stayed til about 7:30. At about 8:00 things really heated up. A small eight came in followed closely by another pretty good eight pointer. It was only a minute or so before the shooter appeared- obviously the dominant buck. He was followed later by another small buck. I knew immediately the big boy was a shooter. The rest is history!
