It’s hard to believe bow season will open in a little over a month. Let’s just hope the temps mellow out- it’s been unbelievably hot lately. The rain we’ve had the past few days has helped cool things off a bit. The deer are still hammering the hi-pro feed and I’m getting some pretty good bucks on trail cam. Have most of my stands up already. All I have to do now is go back to each and attach my camera arms and make sure there are tree straps for my safety harness. Later…

Man, is it getting hot! Supposed to be in the 100+ range for the next few days. I’m glad I went ahead and hung a few stands this week. I may have to hang one more before the season opens but that should be it. I’m definitely ahead of last year in that regard. Starting to get a few good bucks on trail camera but their horns still have more growth to put on. Seems like they are behind last year’s pace in antler development. I believe last year this time I was seeing bucks already fully developed, or maybe it just seems that way. You can follow the development of one particular buck in my Trail Cam 2012 gallery. Later…

Just checked my trail cameras and had a pleasant surprise. Not only did I get some good pictures of the buck I’ve been following, and he’s spreading nicely, I also got some pictures of a new buck, the largest I’ve seen so far. Check them out in the 2012 Trail Cam gallery. Later…

Well, turkey season has been over for about a month now and I’m still in withdrawal! Did bag a couple of nice gobblers and got some great video. Only thing I know to do now is start getting ready for deer season. Opening day is just 3 months away. Got my feeders going again and getting some interesting trail cam photos. Will be posting some of the better ones along and along. Later…
