Just checked my feeders and I’m not surprised they were completely empty since I last fed on July 4th. Had almost 900 trail cam pictures on one of them. Much to my pleasant surprise I got some pictures of a new buck that may turn out to be a shooter. Don’t know where he’s been all summer but I’m glad to see him. Check out the Trail Cam gallery.

Already July 4th, time is flying. I’m continuing to get some interesting trail cam pictures from my hi-pro feeders. I’m adding a few from recent days. Had a little more daytime activity this time but the bigger bucks are still nocturnal for the most part. My split G-2 buck is showing up with regularity. Later…

Checked my hi-pro feeders today and found them empty for the most part. They are really killing this feed. Had more than a thousand pictures in just four days. I’ll be posting some of the latest photos in the trail cam gallery. It’s hard to think about hunting in this heat but I’m sure it won’t be cooler when bow season opens in six weeks. Later…

It’s hard to believe the opening day of bow season here is less than two months away. Lots to do between now and then- bush hogging, hanging stands and trail cams, etc. And it’s hot! Expected to hit upper 90’s here today. I decided to experiment with some supplemental feeding this year. Built a couple of feed stations and began putting out some high protein feed about six weeks ago. It’s been interesting to follow the development of the bucks through trail cam pictures. I don’t know whether this is going to make a difference but they love this feed. Seeing a number of potentially good bucks on each feeder. I’m posting some of the pictures in my Photo Gallery. You be the judge. Later.
