Returned home yesterday from a week long hunting trip at Riverbend Whitetails in Sturgis, KY. I wish I could say my trip was a success but I’m afraid I can’t. It’s not because I didn’t have an opportunity at a great buck, probably the biggest I’ve ever shot with my bow, because I did. Other than my blowing a great opportunity the trip was quite good. And, yes, I’ve included it all in a video of my blown opportunity along with some of my other hunt experiences. Enjoy!

Don’t know about you but it’s been pretty slow for this bowhunter. I’m seeing bucks but just not anything I want to shoot. I’m getting some trail cam pictures of some I’d like to get a crack at. I’ve got a big mature cul buck right behind my house. He’s a 16″ 3pt if you can believe that. Was just the same last year. He definitely needs to come out. I’m uploading a picture of him in the Trail Cam Gallery. I’m leaving for Kentucky next Friday and will be there for a week. Looking forward to a change of scenery. Later…

Things are really heating up. Bucks are definitely on the move. I saw pictures of some great bucks killed over the weekend. I’m also starting to get trail cam pictures of some good bucks that I haven’t seen all season- a definite indicator that they are on the move. Some of these photos are in the Trail Cam Gallery. I’m seeing more bucks myself but just not the big ones. I did take a doe on Friday to fill a request from someone at the office. You can view that hunt in the video gallery. Bucks are definitely on the move. Some nice ones have been killed in the area in the last week. I’m also seeing some decent bucks all of a sudden showing up on my trail cameras. Check them out in the Trail Cam gallery. Later…
