Its been a while since deer season ended and now that I’ve made it through withdrawals from that I can look forward to Turkey Time. Yes, those Thunder Chickens are sounding off right now and the season opens next week- can’t wait! It may be a little difficult to hunt them right now because it’s so wet. Not quite as bad as late summer last year but almost. I’ll be looking for some good video opportunities. Stay tuned. Later…

Well, another season is in the books and I must admit I could use the rest. Don’t know about you but my season was a mixed bag- a memorable one to say the least. If you’ve followed my progress you know what I mean. Time to start taking stands down and even doing some scouting for next year. Turkey season will be here before you know it! Later…

Had a very frustrating hunt this afternoon, the kind that almost makes you want to give up bow hunting. Well, not really, because I knew what I was getting into when I went bow only. Well, the old blind hog found another acorn yesterday afternoon. Had an exciting hunt right behind my house. Had four bucks and a number of does come in around 4:45, deer everywhere. Made for quite a nerve racking hunt. Ended up taking a risky shot at a good buck and, lucky for me, it worked out. Video to be up soon. Later…
