Gobbler

This was one of those hunts where patience paid off. This bird, another 19 pounder with a 10 inch beard and 1 inch spurs, was fun to hunt. He gobbled his head off on the roost, double, triple and even quadrupling at times. When he continued to gobble well on the ground I figured he must be alone. I kept my calling to a minimum, just enough to let him know where I was. Then it became a waiting game. He shut up and I shut up. Took him about 30 minutes to finally come into the field. The rest is history!
