Bow Kill

This is the luckiest shot I’ve ever made. While hunting at Enon Plantation in Alabama I called in this buck with a grunt and a bleat from 150 yds away. The problem was he came straight, I mean straight, to my tree. I had no shot but to aim for the spine ( risky I know ). I was able to draw when he went behind a tree at 20 yds. Just as I was in the process of releasing my arrow he looked straight up at me. My arrow glanced off the base of his horn, went trough his ear and into his chest. He ran about 250 yds leaving no blood trail at all. Thankfully the woods were pretty open and I was able to spot him while walking back and forth through the woods. Better lucky than good anytime!
